A 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating stable housing and real pathways to self-sufficiency for veterans and for women and families rebuilding after domestic violence — right here in Chicago's south suburbs.
Stable housing is the foundation everything else is built on — recovery, work, family, dignity. Too many veterans and too many survivors of domestic violence in our community are one setback away from losing it. We're building the housing and the support that helps people get solid ground back under their feet, and the skills to keep it.
Rock Solid Development & Training Foundation operates alongside Rock Solid Logistics — over 20 years of hands-on operating experience put to work for the community, led by Tandalaya and Ahmose Gardner.
Three connected programs, all pointed at the same goal: stability that lasts.
Safe, stable homes for veterans transitioning back to independent living — with the support around them to make it stick.
A secure place to land for women and families rebuilding after domestic violence, so leaving never has to mean having nowhere to go.
Supportive housing paired with case management, trauma-informed wraparound services, and workforce readiness — including driver-permit prep — so housing becomes a launchpad, not a holding pattern.
This isn't a someday plan. The work is already moving.

Fund the housing program directly. Every dollar goes toward getting people housed and supported.
Furniture, household items, and supplies help us turn a house into a home for a family moving in.
Skills, time, referrals, or organizational partnership — there's a place for what you bring.
